HFC had a booth in the small dog area of the
Pet Tales at the
Barkyard, Lasalle Park on Saturday, August 13, 2011. It was a beautiful day by the water with all the
Barkyards 4-legged visitors.
HFC's tent was extremely popular shade and lounging spot for those worn out hot dogs! Volunteers met
Anne Neville,
Buffalo News columnist and
Pet Tales writer! We also met many of the rescued dogs profiled in her column and their owners. Sad stories with fabulous outcomes, especially Zelda who is the
City of Buffalo Animal Shelters 2010 Success Story of the Year & poster DOG. A special thank you to the
Barkyard and board members for hosting this wonderful event. Many thanks for the generous donations and to those who visited and learned about
HFC's mission & programs! Spread the word...adopt & give rescued animals a chance...
they deserve love!
The HFC
Cheers Neighborhood Bar & Grill Fundraiser was a
HUGE success!
Thank you to all who attended and donated so generously!

February 7, 2008 - Craft Show and Home Party Fair to Benefit HFC
There were a lot of vendors selling wonderful items, plus a Chinese auction to benefit HFC, held at Magruder's Restaurant in Depew, NY. Our very first big fundraiser event -- and it was incredibly successful! Check out the pictures below on Buffalo.com.
March 30, 2008 -- Buffalo Greyhound Adoption Fair & Expo
This was a phenomenal day of hanging with Greyhounds at the Ag-Grange building at the Hamburg Fairgrounds!! This event was free and open to the public, and was hosted by the Buffalo Greyhound Adoption! HFC had a table there (hey, we may be cat people, but we like Greyhounds, too) loaded with HFC information, raffle tickets for a huge basket of DOG goodies (our cats are very understanding) and a basket for cat lovers as well. Both baskets were greatly appreciated by the winners. We sold a good number of our famous fabulous feline foofies, and introduced for the first time, our canine squeaky foofies! They were a big hit with the greyhounds!
